Most people in the UK say they are not ready for a cashless society

Privacy is one of the main reasons Brits prefer physical money. Ditching cash is more popular in other European countries, but the share of people saying they would go completely cashless is below 42%.
Even still, in 2014, for the first time, the share of British consumers and businesses using electronic payments surpassed the share of people using cash 💷.
