GoFundMe is a platform where users raise money for charitable causes or personal goals like weddings and trips.
Since GoFundMe was created, almost half of the funds raised went to health-related campaigns, one of 19 categories available in the platform.
More than half of those health-related campaigns started in US states that chose not to use Obamacare to expand healthcare coverage.
